CMMC: Building Toward Level 2 Assessment
Telpower is working to become an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO), the type of firm that performs official CMMC Level 2 certification assessments for Defense Industrial Base contractors.
Our path to C3PAO authorization
- Getting our team trained and certified through the Cyber AB and ISACA (CCP and Certified CMMC Assessor credentials)
- Completing the Cyber AB authorization process, including an ownership review and a Level 2 assessment of our own environment by DCMA’s assessment team (DIBCAC)
- Building quality, appeals, and complaints processes to ISO/IEC 17020 standards
Why it matters for you
Telpower is headquartered in Perry, Georgia, near Robins AFB, and has over 100 years of combined experience in government cybersecurity, risk assessment, and Risk Management Framework work. Our goal is to give Southeast defense contractors a nearby, experienced Level 2 assessment partner.
Where CMMC stands
DoD has paused the Phase II rollout of third-party Level 2 assessments while it reviews the program. We’re continuing our authorization work so we’re ready when assessments resume.
